falling objects are killing

"Falling objects are dangerous. It can KILL!"
Ever read those sentences in my town council's publicity.
It is regarding the stuffs that could fall from heights.

You know, houses here are stacked vertically in blocks of flats or appartements. So, there's always possiblities that househould stuffs (e.g. flower pots, bird's cage, laundry hangers, etc.) could suddenly fall down accidentally. It can kill!

Oh yeah, btw, yesterday I just did once. I made a plate flew out of my house's window! It's from level 17! Luckily, it didn't kill anybody or anything; and the plate wasn't broken, merely had a crack. It landed safely after 'stopping by' for a while in somebody's house's window.

Yesterday was a windy day and my house's window was fully opened. My kitchen's dishwashing basin and the dishses' rack were by the window. I was about to take a plate out of the rack, yet, I dunno what happened, suddenly two plates fell and continue their journey towards the window. I managed to reach one when it was still about to go out, whereas the other one, although not yet flying down - still hooked by the laundry rods on the window, seemed already beyond my reach. However, I extended my hand - trying hard - to reach it. Yet, the wind blew the plate and the plate flew away. It bang on to somebody's house's window before it landed on the ground.

I just realized that I could have been fallen too yesterday. *Oh, God, thanks... I did not*
I was too focus to reach the other plate. I didn't realize that I have extended my self too much out of the window! Moreover, the wind was so strong. I could have fallen! *tweoweoweow*
*fiuh..*

Some lessons for life:

1. Death is actually so near. It could happen in every second of our life, even in an unpredictable moment. Well, only God knows. Today, could have been our last day....

2. If we happened to know that something/somebody is about to 'fall', there are 2 things we could do:
To save it/the person when there's still a hope to do so, or to let it/the person go when there's no hope anymore.
After trying to save something/somebody, yet we see no hope after sometimes, just let it go. It's better than making yourself fall together with it. It just doesn't worth.
One falling is still better than two fallings.

If you can't save something/somebody, at least you are not making yourself fall too.

Am I right ? ;)

‘Falling’, in a broader meaning, represents such bad experiences as failure, decline, deterioration.
I’m not talking about ‘falling in love’, it’s a wonderful experience indeed :)

Anyway, self awareness and consciousness will help protecting you from ‘falling’.

how do you define "hopeless"??
success might be just around the corner: another step, and you can see it.

by the way, do you notice that the world usually looks much more beautiful seen from level 17 than level 1? that's why people always (well, asually) ask for a room on the highest level when they apply for dormitories. Not everyone can get to the top, ofcourse.

Yeap, that is. Keep being aware and conscious.
Yet, falling is sometimes unavoidable; that's being fated.

How do I define "hopeless"?

well, I actually don't like the term "hopeless", coz it seems like saying "I can't" before giving it a try.
I'd rather using the term "successful" and "unsuccessful". *Although I still dislike these terms either - coz these definitions is more result-oriented*

Successful and unsuccessful are used to define the result after efforts are done.
And here, I will define "hopeless" as "potentially unsuccessful".

Hence, something is "potentially unsuccessful" when after sometimes trying with full efforts yet the results show an undesired TREND. I am using the term 'TREND' because it hasn't reached its final result - as it's still 'potentially'.

There are times when the situations, based on our observation of the trend, are getting worse and worse. We can continue though..., but we would never know if we are going to waste our time. At the end, we have to decide it by considering our capability and strength, and again, always asking guidance from God.

Addition,
'Potentially Successful' sometimes could be deceiving; It seems like: "Hey, it's just around the corner! Don't worry, we'll be there soon!" yet it might be something that you would never achive. Coz we would never know when is our last day...

I think the best is:
Don't be too positive before we've really arrived there. However, don't be too not-positive when we've not really been there. There's no success or unsuccessful before doing any efforts. Tawakkal is the key...

Yeap, the higher the better view. There are always trade offs in everything. If you enjoy more advantages in one side, you'll have to pay it off with disadvantages on the other side. Nothing is perfect!

Top level enjoys better view, but higher risk of falling, troubles during the electricity-power black out, etc.
